Terms of use
Last updated: 27 September 2026 · Covers the live service: calls, anonymous accounts, bots and the weekly results email
The short version
- Traders Ladder records trade calls and checks them against the market. It's not investment advice, and it's not betting.
- Locked calls are public and permanent. You can't edit or delete them.
- You join with an anonymous nickname and a secret key. Linking an Instagram or X account is planned. One person, one account.
- If you lose an anonymous secret key, we can't recover the account.
- Calls are free. Nothing is staked, and nothing is paid out based on results.
What's live: anonymous accounts, calls, bots and the weekly results email. Where a section describes something we haven't launched yet (linked Instagram or X accounts, paid extra calls), it applies only from the day we launch it, and we'll announce it first.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Traders Ladder is operated by [Company legal name] ("we", "us"). These terms cover your use of the Traders Ladder website and service. By using Traders Ladder you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Who can use Traders Ladder
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be allowed to use a service like this where you live. It's your responsibility to check your local laws.
- You may not use Traders Ladder if we've previously removed you from it.
3. Accounts
Anonymous accounts
You join with a nickname and a secret key generated in your browser. The key is the account. Anyone who has it can act as you, and we can't recover or reset it because we never store it. You're responsible for keeping it safe. We're not liable for anything that happens because a key was lost, shared or stolen.
Instagram or X accounts (planned)
When we launch it, you'll be able to link an Instagram or X account, with ownership confirmed through the platform's official sign-in. Handles claimed with the weekly results email are reservations only: you get a handle only if you prove you own it when you first sign in. You may only link accounts you own or are authorized to operate. A handle can be linked to one Traders Ladder account only, ever, and only calls locked after linking count toward that handle's ranking. Earlier calls stay on the record, marked as made before linking.
One person, one account
You may operate only one account that posts calls. Running several accounts to spread bets and show off whichever one did well is prohibited. We may use non-public signals, such as sign-up patterns, to detect this, and we may remove every account involved.
Nicknames and handles
Nicknames may not impersonate another person, brand or trading page, or be offensive or misleading. We may reclaim or remove any nickname that breaks this rule.
4. Calls
- Calls are permanent. Once locked, a call can't be edited, withdrawn or deleted, and it stays on your public record.
- The entry price is the exchange's first 1-minute price after you lock the call. Results are decided automatically from Binance 1-minute prices, as described on the site.
- Calls are sealed while they run. Others can see that you locked a call, but not its direction or target, until it resolves.
- You must answer the position question truthfully. Saying you don't hold a position when you do is prohibited.
- You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, permanent licence to store, display and share your calls, their results and your public profile, including in rankings, badges and data feeds.
- If you close your account, we'll remove your personal data as described in the privacy notice. Your calls stay in the historical record and in aggregate statistics, detached from your identity.
Bots
- You can build bots that lock calls automatically under the same rules as everyone. A bot belongs to your account and is always labelled as a bot.
- Every bot's rules and record are public. Bots can be retired but not deleted, and their calls stay on the record.
- You're responsible for your bots' calls as if you had locked them yourself.
5. Not advice, not betting
Traders Ladder records opinions and measures how they turn out. Nothing on Traders Ladder is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell anything. Other traders' calls are their own opinions. We don't check them and don't endorse them. Past accuracy doesn't predict future results. Trading carries a high risk of losing money, and any decision you make is your own.
Traders Ladder is not a betting, gambling or prediction-market service. Calls are free, nothing is staked, and nothing is ever paid out based on whether a call was right.
6. Call energy and fees
- Locking calls is free, within the call energy limits shown on the site: currently 3 calls every 4 hours, up to 5 running at once and one open call per coin. The first 200 traders to lock a call get 6 calls every 4 hours for 30 days.
- After 3 stops in a row, an account gets a 24-hour cool-off. Nobody can pay to skip it.
- We may introduce paid extra calls for humans. Bots can never buy calls. Before we charge anything we'll publish the price and give notice under section 11. Paying never changes how calls are scored or ranked.
- If we introduce paid calls: they won't be refundable once a call is locked, unless a call fails because of an error on our side, and where EU consumer law gives you a right of withdrawal, you agree that the service starts immediately when you lock a paid call, which ends that right for that call.
7. What's not allowed
- Market manipulation: using calls to coordinate pump-and-dumps or to mislead others about an asset.
- Promoting assets you're paid to promote without saying so.
- Operating multiple accounts, or buying, selling or sharing accounts or keys.
- Impersonating another person, trader or brand.
- Scraping, overloading or interfering with the service, or trying to get around its rules or security.
- Using Traders Ladder for anything unlawful.
8. Scoring and corrections
We publish how calls are scored and ranked, and we may improve the method over time. When we change it, we'll announce the change and apply it the same way to everyone. If a result was decided using a clearly wrong price (for example, a data-feed error), we may correct or void it and will show that on the receipt.
9. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove accounts, bots, nicknames or email sign-ups that break these terms, and we'll tell you why where we can. You can stop using Traders Ladder at any time.
10. Our liability
We provide Traders Ladder "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available but can't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and [€100]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Traders Ladder after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes go to the courts of [jurisdiction]. If you're a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Questions: [legal@yourdomain].
